Current projects

“Construction of the Connecting Gallery Between the Infectious Diseases Centre, DRC, and the ‘Gaiļezers’ Hospital Inpatient Building (Building B) at 2 Hipokrātu Street, Riga”

The SIA Nord X team has commenced construction works on the connecting gallery that will link the new building (the Infectious and Pulmonary Diseases Centre) with the existing Building B.

We have completed the construction of the building’s reinforced concrete foundation slab and have started the construction of the walls.

“New construction of a multi-storey multi-apartment residential building at Trijādības Street 1A, Riga.”

The SIA Nord X team has begun work on the construction of the Blue Marine residential building. The project will include seven above-ground floors and two underground levels.

We have successfully completed the construction of the monolithic foundation slab, which will provide a stable base for a high-class residential building.

Construction Works on the Rail Baltica Railway Section Kaunas–Panevėžys–LT/LV (Stage 1): New Bridge over the Neris River

SIA Nord X has launched work on the significant project “Construction of a New Bridge over the Neris River” as part of the Rail Baltica railway section Kaunas–Panevėžys–LT/LV (Stage 1) — the first project of its kind in the Baltics. The company is carrying out the main construction works for the bridge spans using the Movable Scaffolding System (MSS) — a modern and innovative technology designed specifically for bridge span construction. This hydraulic formwork support system is especially suited for prestressed concrete bridges with segments or spans cast on site.

Within this project, Nord X is performing concreting, reinforcement, and MSS relocation works, ensuring the creation of the bridge’s load-bearing span structures. The overall scope is impressive: 2,254 tons of reinforcement and 12,565 cubic meters of concrete.

The use of MSS technology highlights Nord X’s strong technical expertise and commitment to implementing innovations that accelerate the construction process and enhance safety. This project not only reinforces the company’s strategy in complex engineering structures but also sets new standards for infrastructure development in the Baltic region. It is seen as a natural continuation of the section already completed in Riga (“Construction of Rail Baltica railway infrastructure for 1435 mm gauge tracks, from Lāčplēša Street to Jelgavas Street (incl. new railway bridge)”), where a similar formwork system, VBC Balanced Cantilever, was used.

Construction works of the Rail Baltica Riga International Airport railway station, related infrastructure and overpass

SIA Nord X team is carrying out major works on the construction of the Riga bypass viaduct located at Riga Airport. This project is particularly challenging because the viaduct’s visible structures are exposed surfaces, which require extreme precision and expertise in the concrete pouring process.

Each viaduct abutment is massive, with an average concrete volume of 268 m³ and reinforcement of 6.9 tonnes. Concreting structures of this scale and visibility is a challenging and responsible process, requiring a high level of professionalism.

To ensure the required quality and aesthetics of the concrete surface, SIA Nord X has applied a concrete mix, especially prepared for this project. This mix ensures that the end result meets the highest standards in terms of both durability and visual appearance, demonstrating the company’s expertise and ability to implement complex engineering solutions.
